A Statement of Our Religion

Faith in action

A god of our world

A testament
There is a divinity which created all things, unknowable, all powerful and as far from our understanding as anything can be. For us to be able to worship this divinity it has created images of parts it self which we refer to as aspects, most of which are in the forms of gods and goddesses.
These are more or less understandable depending upon which ones are taking an interest in your life. The more powerful they are the more remote from our normal life and attitudes.
We worship these deities with each breath we take, each thing we do. We can not say that we do not proselytize when everything about our lives shows our relationship with our universe. The wheel of the year gives 8 major festivals set round the cycles of life and death, fertility and growth. Add to this the monthly observances and you have a rich and varied series of religious experiances.
I have been practising the Craft for 30 years, mainly as a Solitary but at times I have been given the pleasure and honour of joining in with groups/covens for rituals. I have a tendency to join organisations that I believe will act to improve the position of our religion in society. As someone who has always been open about his beliefs I take the strongest possible line with those who would deny us our rights. To this end I oppose the destruction of our country and the suborning of our government by the 4th. Reich.

My 15 year old son takes after me in most ways but unfortunately wants to be an architect. Oh, well you can't have everything. He is very religious and has an interest in the orders of chivalry, especially the Knights Templer.

I feel strongly that changes need to be made in the way we respond to the pressures put upon us from outside. We need to give a unified response when attacked, use every pressure to get laws passed to protect the freedom to practice religions, and show as many people as we can that the Goddess deserves their worship. We proselytise by the way we live our lives, the only question is which religion we do it for.

These come together around the religion of wicca and the pagan/new age/spiritual people we know.
